Get to know about The Heights Church
The Heights Church aims to communicate the unchanging truth of Jesus Christ in a way that everyone can comprehend. Our desire is to continually equip people to bring glory to God and the light of Jesus into their communities, however diverse they may be. So we gather each Sunday at 9:30am and 6pm to worship the Lord, hear God speak through the Bible, pray and to support one-another where ever we are at in our Christian journey.
Time & Location
Our Sunday morning service is at 9:30am.
9:30am Family ServiceOur 9:30am service is a family service and usually concludes by 10.45am, followed by morning tea. It is the place where people of all generations, gather together to hear God’s word and connect together in worship.
10:00am Junior ChurchOur junior church program runs during school terms and commences 30 minutes after our 9:30am service begins. It caters for ages 3 to 15 years. The children enjoy hearing bible stories, singing songs, playing games and taking part in lots of craft and other activities, while the high school group meet to study what the bible has to say to their generation.
6pm Contemporary ServiceOur 6pm service is a contemporary service for all ages. The music is great, the coffee and supper (sometimes a light meal) is superb, but most importantly we gather to hear God’s word, learn more about the claims of Jesus and explore what it means to be a Christian in today’s culture.
We have special services and celebrations throughout the year.

Our foundational beliefs
The BibleThe Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant word of God and is our ultimate authority that defines our beliefs and governs our behaviour. Therefore, we place great emphasis upon teaching it in public, studying it in private, and using it as a guide for our daily lives (Acts 20:32, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, 1 Thessalonians 2:13).
JesusJesus is the foundation and cornerstone of the church. He came to restore man’s broken relationship with God. His finished work on the cross made that possible. Because of His love demonstrated on the cross by dying for our sins we are compelled by His love to proclaim the Gospel to every person. (1 Corinthians 3:11, Ephesians 2:20, Romans 5:6-10).
LoveLove is the greatest virtue and demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ. Love should be exhibited in our lives by our words as well as our actions. We will seek to be loving by offering practical support [a hand up] & assistance [a hand out] to those in need. (John 13:34-35, 1 Corinthians 13:13, Philippians 2:3).
Christian GrowthOur supreme desire is to know Christ and be conformed into His image, likeness, and example by the power of the Holy Spirit. We encourage this by abiding in Jesus Christ through His Word, prayer, fellowship and by serving one another. (John 15:5, Romans 8:29, Ephesians 4:15).
