At Hornsby Heights Baptist Church we seek to follow Jesus’ instructions to be “witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8). We partner with a variety of ministries, activities and organisations that are local in the Hornsby area and international (Asia, Ukraine, Africa).  The Heights Church partnership with missions can take many forms, including direct financial support from the church, members spending significant time or finances, use of facilities, publicity and, perhaps most important of all, prayer.

 

HADCEA

Hornsby and Asquith District Christian Education Association

HADCEA is a Christian Organisation that has been supported for more than 20 years by 15 local Christian Churches.

The aim of HADCEA is to proclaim the good news about Jesus Christ to the students of the two public high schools that service suburbs from Hornsby north to the Hawkesbury River – Asquith Girls’ High School and Asquith Boys’ High School.

Eagles Wings

Eagles Wings  is a small not-for-profit aid and development organisation working in a number of communities (population 20,000) on the outskirts of Ndola, Zambia. Our passionate focus is to see vulnerable children realise and reach their God-given potential. Three key words define the Eagles Wings mission: Hope, Generosity and Adventure.   The Eagles Wings school and programs to help the disadvantaged in Ndola in a land where 10% of the population are orphans.

International

At The Heights Church we support a number of people working overseas in various ministry capacities. The people we support are all working under the auspices of established sending organisations like Global Interaction, but are supported financially both directly from the church as well as from many members. The people we support minister in Hong Kong , SE Asia and the Ukraine.
